Beautiful cottage, well appointed. Very clean, spacious. Nothing to fault. We only stayed one night but could easily have extended our stay if time permitted. Comfortable bed. Shower amazing and just a lovely place to stay.
Great experience staying in a cottage with massive stone walls. Imaging the life for families travelling to this remote location in the 1800s and living in these dwellings. Clean and authentic. Every convenience in a truly historic location.
A super location, historic miners cottages and the best hosts. Easy to deal with operators, very helpful. The cottage is well maintained, for their age. The insulating properties of the rendered stone make these very comfortable. |It's highly recommended that bookings are arranged, very popular accommodation.
Lovely 19th Century refurbished cottages (originally built for Cornish miners, I understand) used for local accommodation. All the basic amenities are here; the sense of being steeped in history, though, is priceless.
Quite a pleasant surprise to find these unique heritage cottages, with such good presentation, here in Burra.
I booked this accommodation remotely, largely based on distance between destinations on my walk of the Heysen Trail, and I knew Burra was a great little town. I just didn’t expect the cottages to be this nice.
Spacious, self contained and nicely renovated, these heritage cottages surround a large common area with parking, laundry and bbq. They are simple but tasteful, with good fittings and clean, well maintained bathroom and kitchenette.
Everything you need for simple meals is provided, and the cottages have rear access for parked cars and private picnic tables.
The TV is good, reverse cycle aircon and good beds.
Within walking distance of the town, although you will need to go to the caravan park to check in and out.
Great town with good shops and friendly locals.
Spent 2 nights at the cottages and had a lovely time. Were greeted with a large lawned area which was great given I had my dog with me. When we entered the cottage we couldn't believe how spacious it was (1 bedroom cottage for 2 people …
We were two couples and just stayed overnight on Monday 13 March (Adelaide cup holiday). We were in Burra the previous year and wanted to see the things we had missed. This was really good. Clean and great facilites for two couples. Great price. I would like to congratulate all those involved. A very good experience- thank you.
Be aware! Fee is not refunded if you cancel. Read everything carefully. We had a medical emergency that caused us to cancel our booking a week before it was due. Will not be recommending this place. We are pensioners and every penny counts.
